Submission Guidelines
There are several ways to submit:
- Find a quote on Texts From Last Night, find a screencap or comic panel to go with it, and use an image editor to combine them. Doesn’t have to be fancy, but make sure the text is legible. The mod at Texts From Baker Street put together this great list of free online image editors, if you need them. Submit your creation as a photo and I’ll add it to the queue.
- Submit the TFLN quote and the image separately (as a photo + text) and I’ll put them together and post the result.
- If you can’t get a hold of screencaps or panels you can suggest the TFLN quote and a description of the scene you think it should be paired with, e.g. “That scene in the movie where…”, “That comic page where…”. Keep in mind that it might not turn out exactly as you picture it, since you’re at my mercy for getting the exact image and putting it all together.
-Submitted images will go in the queue and will take a few days to be posted. It will probably take longer if I’m the one putting the caption and image together.
-Feel free to reuse a caption that’s already been used. Same with images that have already been used; there are some scenes that are just begging for multiple captions. Just avoid using the exact same image + caption combination as something that’s already been posted because, well, it would just be a repost.
-To upload your photo/submit as a photo use the drop down menu at the top of submit form. That way you won’t have to upload the photo to an outside site like Photobucket to submit, and it won’t show up as a gray box on the dashboard.
